Weathering Change

The Office of Sustainability (OFS) of Harvard invited the students, faculty, and staff to submit poetry and art responding to the rapidly changing environment selected and published in an art anthology. The anthology editor sought art direction and illustration to guide the viewer through the compilation of work in hopes of answering the question, "What am I supposed to do now?"

Approach

The art direction arose from the diversity of original work, from photography and painting to poetry and short stories. The subtle design elements amplify the voice of each artist and collection as a whole. There are four sections of the anthology—fire, water, air, and land—each illustration embodies a changing element and stylized to feel unstable.
