Brand Identity

Over the years, I’ve provided editorial design and art direction for HKS Magazine, spanning both print and digital platforms, while partnering with editors and writers to shape feature packages, alumni profiles, research explainers, and Q&As. My work spans cover and feature concepts, section templates, typography and grid systems, photo editing and commissioning, and illustration briefs, with an emphasis on clear hierarchy, accessible color contrast, and strong visual narratives.

Footprint / Ideas

Data-friendly formats for impact and analysis—charts, explainer modules, and callouts that turn complex findings into quick, credible takeaways.

Classnotes

To modernize Class Notes, I designed a clean, scannable system for alumni updates—featuring modular layouts, photo grids, and clear labeling—so that long lists are easy to browse across print and web.

Social Media

Earlier issues had limited social media presence and no clear strategy for reaching broader audiences. We developed a plan to adapt magazine stories for digital use—creating both full-story animations and platform-specific assets, such as quote cards, carousels, and short videos, supported by reusable templates and a content calendar. This approach boosted engagement and drove consistent traffic back to feature stories.
